Call to Service: 9/11 Memorial Beautification Project
In honor of the 20th Anniversary of September 11th, 2001, Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone is hosting beautification projects of 9/11 Memorials across the county to give residents an opportunity to honor this day in our country’s history. This project aims to beautify memorials ahead of the 20th Anniversary, and educate youth and community members on this important milestone.
Each location will include a beautification and or clean-up component, depending on the memorial’s needs. Tasks will include cleanup of weeds or discarded items, planting, addition of lighting, stepping stones, and more. Home Depot will be graciously sponsoring these events, providing materials needed. The location in our town is located at the Deer Park Fire Department located at 94 Lave Ave in Deer Park.
