Board Meeting Next Week:  Weds, June 9th, 11:30am at Boyd-Spencer Funeral Home.
 
Community Garden at the Conklin House Update:   Last week was the second meeting of the Rotary Garden Club Committee.  We meet on Weds at 6:30pm-7pm at the Conklin House to participate in their Community Garden. Rotarian Corey Peters completed a fundraiser to purchase a hydroponic garden and the assortment of lettuces and herbs is progressing nicely. Date Set for Induction Ceremony:  July 7th, 2021 at 6PM the Babylon Village Pool! Rain date of July 14th.   75th Club Anniversary!  Raffle tickets have been printed and ready for distribution.  Tickets will be limited to 200. Tickets cost $50 each. First Prize = $2000, Second Prize = $1000, & Third Prize = $500.  We need everyone's help to make this fundraiser a HUGE success.   If you are interested in volunteering to plan the event or are available to help sell raffle tickets: please email megannoble@garveypropertiesli.com.
 
 
Golf Outing Update:  The annual Golf Outing is scheduled for July 13th, 2021 at Willow Creek Golf and Country Club.  50 golfers are needed for the event and anticipated cost is between $250-$300 per golfer.  Brochures & Sign up forms have been printed (Thank you Mike Hack!) & will be distributed. Chairperson Neil Weingarten reports that we will need some volunteers the day of the event if anyone is interested in helping.  Volunteers will check in our golfers and help sell raffle tickets on the course.  The Golf Outing is the primary source of fundraising for our scholarship fund. 
 
Boy Scout Ribbon Cutting Ceremony:  Our club has been invited to attend the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony of the new Boy Scout Camp in Baiting Hollow.  Saturday June 12th at 10am at Baiting Hollow Scout Camp.  Rotarian Jason Tewes is asking for a couple of Rotarians to represent our club.   Please email Jason if you are able to attend:  Jason.Tewes@scouting.org
 
 
Dirty Sock Run Committee Update:  Volunteers are needed to join the committee to make 16th Annual Babylon Village Classic a success. The Dirty Sock Run is our biggest fundraiser for local food pantries and soup kitchens. President Josie Bogdahn will be sending an email with more details.
 
 
Navajo Water Project:  Committee is forming to obtain global grant for Navajo Nation Water Project.  Are you interested in joining?   For more info CLICK HERE.
