Supply Drive for Haiti

As many of you may be aware, our District does a great deal of work through Rotary Global Grants in a variety of places in Haiti.  The recent earthquake and hurricane in Haiti has left the people of the country in great need.  A group of Rotarians have used their contacts locally and in Haiti to make arrangements to get much needed supplies to the region.  Our club participated by collecting supplies (or money with which we purchased supplies) like latex gloves, surgical masks, shampoo, soap, tylenol, benadryl, tarps, batteries, flashlights & toiletries.  Rotarian Bonnie Heller and her husband Carl delivered our club's donations to KBG Commercial in Bay Shore for transport to a shipping container heading to Haiti.  We even had some youth participation from Bonnie's Grandson as our club was asked label the contents of each box.  Great Job Rotarians!
