Soles4Souls Shoe Drive:  President Elect Megan Noble is again heading up our annual shoe drive for Soles4Souls in collaboration with Northport Rotary Club.  Shoes can be dropped of to the lobby of the 1801 House Argyle Sq. in Babylon Village.   We have volunteers available to pick up shoes from you as well if you are not able to make the trip.  Members & Friends of Rotary can assist our efforts by sharing the flyer for the Shoe Drive on their social media pages.   Click HERE to learn more about Soles4Souls.  
 
Call for Volunteers to fill Board of Directors positions:   Club Service is one of the 5 Avenues of Service and is a great way to strengthen comradery and get to know your fellow Rotarians.  We will be in need of a Secretary.  For more information,  reply to this email or visit My Rotary.
 
 
Million Mask Challenge Update:  Rotarians Jo-Ann Boettcher & Frank Seibert have completed the delivery of 5000 masks to local soup kitchens & local school districts.  Thank you Jo-Ann & Frank for all your leg work!!

Last week Babylon Village Chamber of Commerce President, Kelly Peckholdt, visited our club to share more about the Chamber's efforts to help support local businesses.
 
 - Largest Membership Yet -   Pre-Covid under Kelly's leadership the BVCC saw it's membership roll get to it's largest number in the last several years.  The Chamber offers two different levels of membership.  If you are interested in membership... CLICK HERE.
 
 - Local retailers & restaurants report having a very successful Holiday Season which is a great indicator that our local businesses are making a comeback from COVID shutdowns.
 
 -The Chamber is working hard to promote businesses while remaining COVID safe with several different ZOOM and socially distanced events.
 
- FUN UPCOMING EVENTS....
 
March 27th is the Chamber's annual Easter Egg Hunt.
 
April 24th Mothers Day Outing
 
June -  2nd Annual Babylon Village Pride Parade
 
 - While many Chamber events are geared toward retailers & restaurants, the Chamber is making an effort to serve their professional members with hosting several socially distanced Networking Events.  Keep an eye out for details, the first event is planned for May.

We have an exciting slate of guest speakers over the next few weeks & YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS IT!  There are many ways to catch up with Rotary even if we haven't seen you in a while.  If you need tech help, please respond to this newsletter and help is on the way!
 
 
March 3rd -  7255 District Governor Jacquelyn Yonick will be joining us to answer questions from our members relating to the ongoing audit of 7255 District Finances & the recent Trustee Notification letter that the district received from Rotary International CEO John P. Hewko.  If you need another copy please reply to this email.   
 
March 17th -  Northport Rotarian Andrew Giffin will be telling us more about Soles4Souls, the group we are collecting the shoes for. 
 
March 24th -  Lori-Ann Novello from Town Of Babylon Cares to share more about the new town project aimed at improving our town's health & wellness.
